We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our home building division.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Cash Management: Oversee the daily cash report and monitor cash flow to ensure accurate and timely payments.
- Financial Analysis: Provide detailed and analytical explanations of variances between actual financial data and forecasts, and review and analyze monthly financial statements, community performance, sales, production, and cost metrics to evaluate property management and asset utilization.
- Payroll and Benefits: Audit and approve bi-weekly payroll reports, and oversee the processing of manual checks.
- Vendor Management: Oversee the payables process to ensure accurate and timely vendor payments.
- Leadership: Manage and supervise the accounting team, including interviewing and recruiting new staff, and serve as a key advisor to the division president, supporting decision-making and improving division performance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting, including 2+ years in the home building industry.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP and industry financial reporting best practices, proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office suite, and especially Excel.
