Admissions Therapist

Job Summary:
The Admissions Therapist will schedule and facilitate admission/intake assessments and determine the appropriate level of care for consumers. This role will conduct screenings, intakes, biopsychosocial assessments, and develop initial/preliminary wellness and recovery plans for consumers upon admission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and facilitate admissions
- Ensure the enrollment of each consumer into the most appropriate, least restrictive program and level of care
- Perform admissions duties as assigned, including phone screening, information and referrals, crisis counseling, data tracking, brief phone assessments, coordinating with referral sources, support of outreach staff, coordination with internal staff, and completion of assigned paperwork
- Conduct admission assessments using the standardized instrument designated by the Managing Entity
- Prepare initial/preliminary wellness and recovery plans in collaboration with the consumer
- Make referrals for consumers to other agencies for services not available within the agency
- Prepare consumer admission records in accordance with licensing, Medicaid, and Joint Commission standards and agency policy and procedure
- Provide in-home/on-site individual therapy and group therapy as needed
Requirements:
- Certification as a CAP or MCAP, in good standing by an agency approved and recognized by the Florida Certification Board is preferred
- Licensure as a LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in good standing by an agency approved and recognized by the state of Florida is preferred
- Graduation from an accredited master's program with a degree in addiction counseling, criminal justice, social work, psychology, or a related field is required
- Two years of previously supervised work experience in providing individual/family therapy is preferred
- Bilingual is preferred
- Must have reliable means of transportation and familiarity with Miami-Dade and/or Broward County
- CPR certification, first aid certification, and an annual tuberculosis test are required
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office software suite and provide an affidavit of good moral character
