We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Store Driver to join our team at Advance Auto Parts. As a Store Driver, you will be responsible for delivering parts to our commercial customers and assisting with inventory processes in the store.
Key Responsibilities:- Safely Deliver Parts: Ensure timely and safe delivery of parts to customers as needed.
- Pick and Stage Parts: Pick and stage parts for customer orders, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
- Pick Up Returns and Cores: Collect returns and cores from customers, maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Drop Off Weekly/Monthly Sales Flyer: Deliver weekly and monthly sales flyers to customers, promoting our products and services.
- Daily Collection of Credit Accounts: Collect credit accounts from customers, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely payment.
- Store Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
- General Stocking: Assist with general stocking, including truck stocking and back stock, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management.
- Basic Driving and Navigation: Possess basic driving and navigation skills, with a valid driver's license and fleet safety certification.
- Ability to Use Delivery Board System: Proficiently use the delivery board system to manage and track deliveries.
- Friendly Communication: Demonstrate friendly and effective communication skills, building strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
- Ability to Locate and Stock Parts: Accurately locate and stock parts, ensuring efficient and accurate inventory management.
- Safety Knowledge and Skills: Possess safety knowledge and skills, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Operating Inventory Systems: Proficiently operate inventory systems, including back stock and store equipment.
- Automotive Parts Experience: Prior experience in the automotive parts industry, with a focus on delivery and inventory management.
The physical demands of this role include:
- Walking or Standing: Predominantly walking or standing, with occasional sitting or climbing.
- Talking and Hearing: Ability to talk and hear, with frequent use of hands and fingers to handle or feel.
- Reaching and Climbing: Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Lifting and Moving: Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds.
The work environment for this role includes:
- Inside Work: Predominantly working inside, with occasional outside work in various weather conditions.
- Moving Mechanical Parts: Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration.
- Noise Level: Moderate noise level in the work environment.
