Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Seasonal Sales Associate to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a Seasonal Sales Associate, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience, executing cash handling to standards.
- Engage customers on the benefits of our Rewards program and complete enrollments.
- Educate customers on our Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
- Merchandise recovery and maintenance.
- Support the merchandise return/go back process and general store recovery.
- Acknowledge customers, help locate product, and provide solutions.
- Participate in the truck unload and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget.
- Support shrink and safety programs.
- Assist with Omni-channel processes.
- Execute a well-merchandised and in-stock store.
- Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, remaining positive and respectful, even in difficult situations.
Requirements
- Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to move throughout the store.
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
- Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Work Environment
Public retail store setting, taking care of our customers. All public areas are climate-controlled. Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled. Some outdoor work if assigned to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks. Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
