Key Responsibilities:

Oversee Daily Plant Operations:
  • Guide supervisors and team members to achieve and surpass performance metrics in safety, quality, customer service, cost management, inventory control, and production.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Coordinate production schedules to align with sales and marketing demands.
  • Formulate policies aimed at minimizing downtime and enhancing plant efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with the BRC Food Safety Code for Manufacturing.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Ensure Compliance:
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of production areas to identify and resolve compliance issues.

  • Address inquiries related to new product reviews and costing.
  • Provide necessary resources to meet food safety and quality objectives.

Evaluate Plant Performance:
  • Monitor production department performance against budgeted standards.
  • Resolve discrepancies in production reporting and ingredient usage.
  • Promote a culture of care within the organization.

Personnel Management:
  • Recruit, train, and manage the production team.
  • Foster positive employee relations and measure team performance.
  • Establish safety standards and ensure adherence to incident prevention policies.

Equipment Maintenance and Safety Practices:
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is well-maintained.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness in work areas and adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in food manufacturing, including managerial roles.
  • Strong background in food production.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of process equipment and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in writing, mathematics, and analytical thinking.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
