Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical ICU team. As a Critical Care RN, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care needs. You will also document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards and direct and delegate care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs
  • Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards
  • Direct and delegate care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence
  • Manage ventriculostomy, EVD, and ICP
  • Nursing care of patients with non-traumatic ICH, non-traumatic SAH, seizures
  • Nursing care of patients post tPA, thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling, carotid artery stenting, and intra-cranial stenting
  • Management of blood pressure abnormalities with parenteral vasoactive agents
  • Completion of complex neurological assessments/scales

Qualifications:

  • Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Minimum of six months critical care RN experience in an acute care facility within the last five years required, or successful completion of an approved critical care training course/orientation and standard competencies within six months of hire
  • Preferred: Minimum of one year RN experience in an Intensive Care unit specializing in Cardiac, Neuro, or Trauma
  • Required: State of Oregon nursing License
  • Required: BLS at date of hire
  • Required: ACLS required within a grace period according to Resuscitation Training Completion Requirements policy
  • Required: NIHSS and TNCC required within 12 months of hire/transfer date
  • Preferred: CCRN and CMC
