Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at DARCARS Jacksonville. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for performing routine repairs, diagnosing issues, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance
    • Perform routine repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with vehicles
    • Conduct road tests to determine work needed and confirm repairs
  • Documentation and Communication
    • Document all work performed and recommended on assigned repair orders
    • Communicate with service advisors regarding additional work or repairs
  • Quality and Safety
    • Maintain technician proficiency as specified by DARCARS standards
    • Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards
    • Report any safety concerns or issues to management
  • Training and Development
    • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and schools
    • Utilize product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and management
  • Customer Satisfaction
    • Maintain manufacturer (CSI) Customer Satisfaction Index at or above DARCARS specified goals
    • Ensure customer vehicles are returned in a clean and satisfactory condition
Requirements
  • Experience
    • 3+ years of previous automotive technician experience required
  • Certifications
    • Certified in factory training highly preferred
    • Full ASE certification a plus
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Proficient in all vehicle maintenance services
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
