Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at The Staffing Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing competent and effective mechanical and electrical maintenance support to our production line and facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs on all food processing and packaging equipment utilizing a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Ensure that all good manufacturing policies, food safety quality regulations, and safety rules are consistently met.
  • Responsible for set-up of assigned machine(s) to ensure daily production goals are met.
  • Responsible for coordination of product changeovers to maximize line efficiencies.
  • Verify that lines are supplied with necessary components to meet daily production schedule.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years in an industrial environment in a mechanical or related position.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Read and understand electrical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of gear and motor principles and operation.
  • Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems repair.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

What We Offer:

  • $25-30 an hour to start based on experience.
  • All mechanics average 10 hours a week of overtime.
