We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at a learning center in Bellefontaine, OH. As a contract SLP, you will work with preschoolers to support their language and communication development.
Key Responsibilities- Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs, and determine eligibility for speech services.
- Work with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized education plans for children with special education needs.
- Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for children with identified speech and language disorders.
- Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
- Maintain accurate records for all children on the caseload, and provide reports of progress to parents.
- Organize caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school or classroom.
- Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Ohio SLP license.
- Certificate of clearance from the Ohio Department of Education.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Solid organization skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Ohio Special Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings.
- Professionalism and accountability.
