Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our Long Term Care department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of our hospital-based Long Term Care facility, ensuring high-quality care, excellent customer service, and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, goals, and objectives that align with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as nursing practice standards.
  • Manage and develop staff, including hiring, training, and performance feedback, to ensure optimal utilization of personnel and meet the needs of consumers and the hospital.
  • Collaborate with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers to provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying continuous quality improvement principles to drive excellence in care delivery.
Requirements:
  • RN licensure in good standing for the State of Michigan.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care or long-term care facility.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or administrative position is preferred.
