Senior Locksmith

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Locksmith to join our team at the University of Vermont. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for providing expert repair and maintenance services on university building locks and card access systems.

• Provide skilled repair and maintenance services on university building locks and card access systems
• Operate a university vehicle and promote a safe working environment
• Report to Zone Supervisor and engage in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability, and delivering great customer experience
• Meet minimum qualifications, including a high school diploma and four years of relevant experience, and obtain a Type S G7-k License (Electrical Lock Installation) within one year

• High School Diploma and four years of relevant experience required
• Type S G7-k License (Electrical Lock Installation) or ability to obtain within one year required
• Effective verbal and written communication skills required
• Valid driver's license and driver's check required

• Locksmith Certification

We offer a competitive salary range of $18 to $28/hour and a 40-hour work week. This is a bargaining unit position with the United Electrical Workers union.
