Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in crisis and de-escalation interventions, therapeutic observations, patient supervision, and other behavioral health-related duties.
- Implement seclusion/restraints for patients deemed in need of these interventions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment for patients.
- Assist with dietary aspects of care, answer phones, transport patients, and provide support to visitors.
- A High School diploma or G.E.D is required.
- Two years of full-time experience in nursing or psychiatric/behavioral health care in a high volume, intensive care environment is required.
- Certified to perform vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and blood glucose monitoring is required.
- Successful completion of an appropriate training program in the application and use of restraints and seclusion is required.
- BLS certification is required.
