Job Summary

The Material Handler will be responsible for manually moving freight, stock, or other materials or performing other general labor in relation to managing materials for the production line.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock and distribute products and materials in inventory warehouses and manufacturing lines
• Package and prepare products and merchandise for the shipping clerk
• Prepare and maintain records of items shipped (i.e. purchase orders, manual shippers, and work orders)
• Perform daily cycle counts
• Periodically rotate in RECEIVING for cross training
• May drive a non-CDL box truck for deliveries
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Demonstrates familiarity of job duties (typically 1-2 years of direct experience in the essential functions of the position)

• Near Vision — See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)

Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment
• Time Pressure
• Operating a forklift, pallet jack and/or manlift operator
• Standing for long periods of time
• Lifting heavy (typically 30 lbs) items

Eligibility Requirements

• As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary is $24.97 per hour, plus $2/hour for 2nd shift differential. Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered.
