The Material Handler will be responsible for manually moving freight, stock, or other materials or performing other general labor in relation to managing materials for the production line.
Key Responsibilities- Stock and distribute products and materials in inventory warehouses and manufacturing lines
- Package and prepare products and merchandise for the shipping clerk
- Prepare and maintain records of items shipped (i.e. purchase orders, manual shippers, and work orders)
- Perform daily cycle counts
- Periodically rotate in RECEIVING for cross training
- May drive a non-CDL box truck for deliveries
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required
- Demonstrates familiarity of job duties (typically 1-2 years of direct experience in the essential functions of the position)
- Comprehension – Understand and apply information conveyed in written and oral methods
- Communication – Communicate information and ideas, written and verbal, so others will understand
- Problem Sensitivity — Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem and notifying appropriate people.
- Customer service – Understand and quickly respond to customer needs
- Near Vision — See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
- Data base user interface and query software
- Electronic mail software
- Enterprise resource planning ERP software
- Inventory management software
- Spreadsheet software
- Label making software
- Materials requirements planning logistics and supply chain software
- Manufacturing environment
- Time Pressure
- Operating a forklift, pallet jack and/or manlift operator
- Standing for long periods of time
- Lifting heavy (typically 30 lbs) items

Compensation and BenefitsSalary is $24.97 per hour, plus $2/hour for 2nd shift differential. Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered.
