Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Metrologist III to join our team at our Clearwater, FL site. As a Metrologist III, you will be responsible for performing calibration, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation. You will independently develop calibration work schedules for equipment and schedule such activities to ensure maximum uptime of related equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement calibration work schedules for equipment
- Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation
- Review and approve calibrations performed on equipment by internal and external calibrators
- Provide technical input and evaluations for calibrations of instrumentation
- Research operating specifications of new equipment and establish calibration acceptance criteria
- Write standard operating procedures, standard certification methods, and other instructions in compliance with FDA, USP, NIST, or other applicable guidelines
- Initiate, execute, and close out corrective actions and change control requests for changes affecting calibration of laboratory equipment
- Lead cross-functional teams for metrology-related projects and organize continuous improvement initiatives using lean sigma project management principles
- 6 years of experience in metrology with an Associate's degree
- Prior cGMP experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (Maximo preferred)
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems in terms of fundamental engineering and/or scientific principles
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- ASQ Certified Calibration Technician is preferred
