Position Summary

The Benefits Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing all facets of employee benefits programs. This includes the administration of health plans, 401(k) programs, and worker's compensation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary expert on employee benefits, encompassing healthcare options, retirement plans, and flexible spending accounts.
  • Organize and facilitate communication regarding open enrollment and annual benefits enrollment.
  • Serve as a reliable intermediary between employees and benefit providers.
  • Handle invoicing and payments to benefit providers.
  • Administer state-specific leave of absence requests and related documentation.
  • Establish and manage employee commuter benefits.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resource Director to assess and enhance benefits offerings for all employees.
  • Maintain and manage data feeds between Ranpak and external benefit providers.
  • Generate and oversee automated benefits reports within the HRIS system.
  • Administer COBRA benefits.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in HR-related functions is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employee benefits and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems is preferred, particularly UKG.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • SHRM-CP certification is advantageous.
  • Experience with UKG or Ultipro is a plus.
