Dean's Dairy is in search of a Lead Laboratory Technician to enhance our quality assurance team. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of responsibilities related to product evaluation, sample preparation, and quality control initiatives. A keen eye for detail and proficiency with laboratory equipment are essential for ensuring precise quality assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform microbiological and chemical analyses on both finished goods and raw materials
  • Engage in product weight assessments, antibiotic evaluations, and maintenance of laboratory instruments
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve production-related issues
  • Accurately complete all required documentation in a timely manner
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process enhancements
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and maintain a tidy workspace
  • Promptly report any food safety concerns to management

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred
  • A minimum of 1 year of pertinent experience is required
  • Strong mathematical abilities and familiarity with various measurement units
  • Experience within the food and beverage sector is advantageous
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a team setting and communicate effectively
  • Must successfully pass all pre-employment assessments
