We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Director to lead our tax function and ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in tax planning, compliance, and risk management, with a proven track record of increasing practice volume and revenue.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the tax function and ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax positions and minimize risks.
- Manage tax risks and ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
- Collaborate with external tax authorities and internal stakeholders to ensure tax compliance and optimize tax positions.
- Provide income tax, property tax, and sales & use tax services in compliance with laws and regulations.
- Implement procedures based on company policies for all tax compliance matters.
- Perform estimates, analysis, and research for income tax matters.
- Oversee tax compliance audits and calculate monthly, quarterly, and annual tax accruals, tax advance distributions, and estimated income tax payments.
- Build relationships with the accounting team and partners to provide excellent customer service.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's in Taxation or other advanced degree and CPA preferred.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in tax, with a significant portion in a leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, particularly those affecting the healthcare industry.
- Proven experience in tax planning, compliance, and risk management.
- A minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience in a healthcare organization required.
- Proven track record in increasing practice volume, revenue, and successfully executing strategic plans.
