Job Title: Food Fanatic Chef

Job Summary:

The Food Fanatic Chef is a critical role that requires a high degree of culinary expertise, sales support, and customer relationship building. As a key member of the US Foods team, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strong relationships with customers, and advancing the food culture of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Consultation and Relationship Building: Direct customer consultation and relationship building is a critical element of this role. The Food Fanatic Chef will work closely with customers to understand their needs, identify pain points, and offer mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Culinary Innovation and Education: The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and conducting kitchen/operations assessments for customers, creating complex and dynamic presentations, and leading culinary training for the area/market.
  • Merchandising Connectivity: The Food Fanatic Chef will work closely with the commercial excellence team to support initiatives and changes around product mix, providing intel and support to category teams and training and supporting sales.
  • Exclusive Brands Growth: The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing and maintaining sales growth for the division in top IR and national customers, specifically focused on Exclusive Brands.
  • Contribution to the Food Fanatics Program: The Food Fanatic Chef will support the Food Fanatics program by participating in events, sharing best practices, and contributing to the presence of the program in social media.
Requirements:
  • Culinary Expertise: A minimum of 7 years relevant work experience, including a comprehensive culinary background, and a thorough knowledge of culinary, foodservice, and hospitality fundamentals.
  • Sales Support Experience: Prior sales or sales support experience is a plus.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages and delivery in the right way to the right audience.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
Work Environment:

The Food Fanatic Chef will work in a kitchen environment, either at the Distribution Center or a customer location, and will be required to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, driving, and lifting.
