Minimum of one year of related experience

License:

Licensed Radiology Technologist in the state of employment

Certifications:
  • RT (R) (CT) required
  • ARRT(CT), ARRT(N), ARRT(T) or CNMT registry required, or State CT registry
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
Must-Have:
  • Proficiency in patient care
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to maintain quality documentation
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and medical imaging
  • Strong skills in process improvement and scheduling
Job Description:
  • Deliver exceptional patient care within the medical imaging department.
  • Produce high-quality images and exams while demonstrating empathy and understanding of patient needs.
  • Adhere to safe radiation practices, upholding ALARA principles.
  • Exhibit leadership abilities and serve as a role model for other technologists.
  • Provide clinical expertise and ensure adherence to current standards of practice.
  • Ensure safety for self, patients, and others during diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients for exams, offering necessary information and support.
  • Monitor patients and equipment, reporting/documenting unusual occurrences and conditions.
  • Optimize patient flow and equipment utilization.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff.
  • Assist with patient transport and perform IV starts and contrast administration as required.
  • Perform technologist duties across other registered modalities as assigned.
  • Input charges and required data for procedures and supplies.
  • Maintain clean and operational work areas and equipment, reporting any issues.
  • Engage in quality checks, equipment maintenance documentation, and continuous education.
  • Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to ACR accreditation efforts as needed.
