Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Worker is responsible for conducting routine and comprehensive preventative maintenance and repair tasks on facilities, mechanical systems, and utility infrastructures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Adhere to all operational policies and protocols of Trexcon Inc.
  2. Effectively communicate with all personnel.
  3. Adapt to changes in tasks and responsibilities while maintaining flexibility in daily operations.
  4. Support the core mission of Trexcon Inc.
  5. Possess a valid Missouri Driver's license.
  6. Execute both minor and major repairs on all facilities and equipment, with major repairs conducted under the guidance of licensed maintenance personnel.
  7. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, including inspections of belts, fluid levels, filter replacements, and lubrication of components.
  8. Replace damaged windows; repair doors, locks, and cabinetry; install window coverings.
  9. Complete and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists and records.
  10. May operate computerized systems that monitor mechanical and utility operations.
  11. Install and repair electrical wiring and systems; manage new electrical services and modifications during renovations.
  12. Repair electrical devices and control circuits; replace malfunctioning switches; service refrigeration units.
  13. May repair security locks and control panels to ensure facility safety.
  14. May install data cabling.
  15. Respond to urgent maintenance requests as necessary.
  16. Assist in the renovation and remodeling of facilities; repair plaster and drywall; paint structures as needed.
  17. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
  18. Perform outdoor custodial tasks, including snow removal when required.
  19. Obtain estimates for supplies and repair parts; order necessary materials.
  20. Foster a collaborative relationship with all management personnel.
  21. Undertake additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  1. Prolonged periods of standing are required.
  2. Physical strength to lift, carry, pull, or push heavy materials, with a minimum weight of 100 lbs.
  3. Occasional lifting of 50 to 100 lbs.
  4. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing of ladders or step stools.
  5. Travel may be necessary.
  6. Occasional sitting may be required.
  7. Exposure to wet and humid conditions may occur.
  8. Occasional work at heights or in precarious locations.
  9. Exposure to fumes or airborne particles may be present.
  10. Occasional contact with toxic or caustic substances.
  11. Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
  12. Risk of electrical shock may be present.
