Logistics Operations Manager

As a key member of the Irving Oil team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient planning and execution of liquid product delivery, as well as the generation, coordination, and execution of all deliveries and service work.

Your Responsibilities:
Ensure alignment of team and individual goals, focusing on change and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve business objectives. Provide clear direction and leadership for the business by establishing and regularly communicating performance expectations and results with multiple teams throughout the organization. Take appropriate actions to address issues as they arise. Ensure all new commercial and residential account acquisitions processes are followed and tracked from account setup to activation. Utilize and develop the forecast model to accurately plan work, plan hours required, and execute on plan to minimize cost, maximize revenue, and ensure customer demand is met. Ensure Delivery and Service Managers meet all operational demands, identify gaps in resource allocation, and remove potential shortfalls. Collaborate directly with District Manager to develop strategic plans for the operations team to increase profitability and efficiency. Celebrate successes and acknowledge disappointments in such a way that they motivate an even higher level of commitment and performance. Responsible for development and management of assigned territory, daily performance goals, resource allocations, and financial targets. Analyze data and provide detailed reporting of customer and market issues for assigned region and identify potential threats and opportunities to the District Manager and colleagues. Ensure business reliability through managing all health, safety, and environmental programs and issues in region. Provide leadership to Dispatch team to support the safety of the Dispatch Team, Drivers, Technicians, and Customers. Utilize Service Technicians, Drivers, and Trucks by coordinating day-to-day interactions with Coordinator - Distribution/Service on building loads and dispatcher efficiency and effectiveness.
Your Skills:
Analytical capabilities and extreme attention to accuracy. Ability to effectively lead a group of individuals to successfully achieve the goals of the dispatch department. Ability to work in a time-sensitive and fast-paced environment. Highly accountable for the success of business objectives. Fast-paced environment that needs quick decision-making and multitasking capabilities. High sense of urgency a necessity. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, along with presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills. High level of customer service skills. Experience: Post-secondary education is preferred. Experience in customer service and 5 years of industry-related management experience. Oil/Gas experience is strongly preferred.
