Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC/R Technician to join our team at The Fikes Companies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems, ensuring our facilities operate efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, repair, and install HVAC equipment, including refrigeration and air conditioning compressors, condensers, chillers, and water cooling towers.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment, including thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, and safety valves.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, welder torch, vacuum pump, and test equipment utilized in the trade.
  • Perform skilled electrical maintenance work in the repair, installation, and alteration of HVAC equipment, components, timers, motors, and wiring systems.
  • Lubricate and pack heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air-conditioning motors, pumps, fans, and other equipment.
  • Install and calibrate systems, install copper tubing, and repair pipes and tubing as necessary.
Requirements
  • HVAC certification
  • 5+ years' experience in HVAC/R position
  • Certifications: EPA 6085 Type I, HVAC Excellence - Commercial Refrigeration, ICE - Commercial Refrigeration, NATE - A/C
