Job Title: Canine Handler

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with a trained Explosive Detection Canine to conduct searches in/at assigned client sites
  • Assist and liaise effectively with clients, security personnel, and local partners in the execution of security protocols
  • Properly train the Explosive Detection Canine, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Adhere to all regulatory protocols, including the use of required technology

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations
  • Minimum of two years' experience in military, law enforcement, or corrections
  • Adequate living environment for the canine's proper exercise and training
  • Access to reliable transportation for the canine's safe transportation
  • Willingness to be available for incident/emergency response duty, standby duty, and client demonstrations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement or security
  • Prior civilian or military K9 handler experience
  • Completion of a full military handler course
  • Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
