Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join our team at Wise Snacks. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our wastewater treatment plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Regulatory Management
    • Maintain compliance with NPDES and local permit requirements to discharge wastewater.
  • Record Keeping and Data Management
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of water and wastewater treatment plant operations.
  • Laboratory Testing and Analysis
    • Perform PADEP and Borough required laboratory testing.
    • Obtain and analyze wastewater samples for local and state permits.
  • Inventory Management and Cost Control
    • Maintain an accurate inventory of chemicals, tools, and equipment used in the WWTP.
    • Ensure cost control of materials to stay within budget.
  • Team Leadership and Communication
    • Supervise WWTP employees and provide guidance on daily work tasks.
    • Monitor and approve hours worked in payroll system.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Valid PA Wastewater License or obtain within one year of employment.
  • 2 years Supervisory experience.
  • 2 years of Wastewater Plant Operations experience.
  • 1 year of General Laboratory Skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
