Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly as they arrive at the bar, promoting featured drinks and utilizing effective upselling techniques to enhance revenue.
  • Prepare and serve beverages according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every drink.
  • Collaborate with restaurant staff to coordinate food service for bar patrons, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
  • Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption, making responsible decisions regarding service to ensure guest safety.
  • Report any incidents of excessive consumption or safety concerns to management promptly.
  • Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including daily inspections of equipment and supplies.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, balancing the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
  • Engage in pre- and post-shift duties, including restocking supplies and cleaning the bar area.
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication with colleagues across departments to enhance overall service quality.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of various liquor brands, cocktails, and beverage preparation techniques.
  • Previous bartending experience or formal training is preferred.
  • Must meet state legal age requirements and possess relevant certifications as mandated by local regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds and perform various tasks throughout the shift.
