Position: Electro-Mechanical Systems Technician

Location: Arcade, NY

Compensation Range: $25-$35 per hour

Role Summary

The Electro-Mechanical Systems Technician is tasked with the programming, setup, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of robotics and electronically controlled manufacturing machinery. Key responsibilities include programming servo motors and stepper motors, with a strong preference for candidates possessing knowledge of hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain electronically controlled manufacturing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations when operating all power and manual tools.
  • Provide training and mentorship to new technicians and apprentices.
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing of equipment.
  • Facilitate equipment demonstrations and develop training manuals as needed.
  • Interpret technical drawings, training manuals, and instructions to execute tasks effectively.
  • Engage in light machining, including the creation of tools and fixtures.
  • Follow both written and verbal instructions diligently.
  • Participate in training workshops as required.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

  • Extensive knowledge of electronic components and systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent post-secondary training in engineering technology or completion of a Technical/Trade school program.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience with a strong emphasis on professional accountability.
