Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hyperbaric Technician to join our team at Nuvance Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing selected wound care and hyperbaric tasks, and sharing responsibilities within the framework of supportive and restorative care within the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by hyperbaric physicians.
  • Operate and maintain hyperbaric chambers and associated systems and equipment.
  • Prepare the hyperbaric chamber, equipment, medicine, and materials as needed for patients undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
  • Provide health counseling, teaching, case finding, and referral in collaboration with the implementation of the total health regime.
  • Carry out hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatment protocols as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Physicians.
  • Assist with transport of patients as required.
  • Utilize communication skills effectively with patients, families, visitors, medical staff, and other hospital personnel.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED, Certified HBO
  • Prior wound care and/or hyperbaric oxygen technologist experience is desired.
