Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in a dynamic healthcare setting. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Setup: Prepare the operating room by setting up sterile fields, arranging surgical instruments, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Verification and Assistance: Verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure details, and assist with patient positioning and draping to ensure proper alignment and sterility.
  • Instrument Management: Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures as needed, and maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery to prevent contamination.
  • Anticipation and Support: Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and other team members, including preparing additional instruments or supplies, and sterilize and inspect surgical instruments before and after use.
  • Instrument Tracking: Manage and track instruments to ensure none are left in the patient and that all are accounted for.
  • Infection Control: Adhere to infection control practices and maintain a sterile environment at all times, and follow protocols for handling and disposing of biohazardous materials.
Requirements
  • Experience: Need Ortho experience, including total joint replacement.
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited school/program for Surgical Technicians.
  • Certifications: CST (Certified Surgical Technician).
