About the RoleThis is a part-time float position (20 hours/week) supporting our clinics in the Asheville area (Hendersonville, Waynesville, Weaverville). Schedule is 1-2 weekdays plus every other weekend.
As a Nurse Practitioner at CVS Health, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing holistic care to patients of all ages. You will be empowered to run your own practice, with the support of our clinical care team and access to evidence-based guidelines and assessment tools.
Responsibilities- Provide primary and family evidenced-based care, inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients.
- Perform administrative duties, including opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow-up, verifying insurance, and collecting payment.
- Be responsible for handling patient appointments and performing routine examinations to ensure positive patient health outcomes.
- Encourage patients to become active participants in their own healthcare and well-being through services such as health screenings, behavioral health, and wellness, chronic condition management.
- A minimum of one year experience as a Nurse Practitioner is required. Experience in Family medicine or primary care practice preferred.
- Active Family Nurse Practitioner license in good standing.
- Complete the DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
