  • Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, components, and supplies, inspecting items for accuracy, quality, and condition, and reporting any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel.
  • Inventory Management: Verify received quantities against purchase orders or packing slips and update inventory records accordingly, organizing and maintaining inventory storage areas to ensure efficient access and proper stock rotation.
  • Shipping and Logistics: Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items according to customer orders or shipping instructions, coordinating with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries, and ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Generate shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and export/import documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, utilizing shipping software or ERP systems to track shipments, update delivery statuses, and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal departments, such as customer service, production, purchasing, and quality control, to resolve any shipping or inventory-related issues, and maintain cleanliness and organization in the shipping and receiving area, adhering to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or supply chain management is a plus, previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Familiarity with inventory management systems, shipping software, and MS Office applications, general knowledge of the ERP (Syteline knowledge is a plus), fluent in English, with the ability to speak, read, and write effectively.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move heavy objects, operate material handling equipment, and perform physical tasks as needed, willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, to accommodate shipping schedules and production demands.
