The Opportunity

As a Biomedical Engineer, Senior, you will play a critical role in supporting defense analytical requirements with enhanced scientific and bio-engineering research, reverse bio-engineering analysis and characterizations, facility and vulnerability assessments, and analytic production on foreign biomedical capabilities. You will combine your knowledge of biology, medicine, and engineering to examine medical devices, equipment, and systems, identifying supply chain vulnerabilities and assisting various challenges in the field of biomedical engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support defense analytical requirements with enhanced scientific and bio-engineering research
  • Conduct reverse bio-engineering analysis and characterizations
  • Perform facility and vulnerability assessments
  • Produce analytic products on foreign biomedical capabilities
  • Combine knowledge of biology, medicine, and engineering to examine medical devices, equipment, and systems
  • Identify supply chain vulnerabilities and assist various challenges in biomedical engineering
Requirements
  • 12+ years of experience with biological threats analysis and vulnerabilities to biological programs
  • Experience reviewing analytical products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support
  • Experience with in-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and IC boundaries
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies and developments in academia that affect tradecraft methodology
  • Knowledge of biology, medicine, and engineering to examine medical devices, equipment, and systems
  • Ability to define comprehensive, new, or unique research approaches that enable rigorous assessments to address high-level tasks
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Master's degree in Biology, Molecular or Microbiology, Public Health, Immunology, Virology, Biotechnology, or Biodefense and 12+ years of experience with biological threats analysis and vulnerabilities to biological programs, or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular or Microbiology, Public Health, Immunology, Virology, Biotechnology, or Biodefense and 17+ years of experience with biological threats analysis and vulnerabilities to biological programs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in Biology, Molecular or Microbiology, Public Health, Immunology, Virology, Biotechnology, or Biodefense

The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172, annualized USD.
