Safety Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team at Group Management Services. As a Safety Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our clients and their employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the implementation of key safety programs with clients' managers and business owners.
  • Monitor safety and risk management software, programs, vendors, and overall insurability of existing and prospective clients.
  • Plan, organize, and conduct safety training sessions for clients.
  • Perform risk assessments and onsite safety inspections, determine probable causes, and work with the Safety Manager to make recommendations for corrective action.
  • Conduct post-accident investigations and prepare reports identifying possible accident causes and hazards.
  • Communicate any red flags to the Manager and Risk Department.
  • Support the Risk team with information regarding clients' lost-time injuries/illnesses and worker's compensation claims.
  • Assist clients and other departments with creating safety programs and be a resource for questions as they relate to safety.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required and 2+ years related safety experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, with overnight stays possible.
