Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures at a technical level, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures, including neuro, body, and extremity, following protocols set by a Radiologist.
  • Prepare and position patients for Magnetic Resonance procedures, thoroughly explaining the exam and answering patients' questions.
  • Enter necessary data into Radiology Imaging System, IDX Imaging Suite, and Picture Archive Communication System Image Management Systems.
  • Process images as necessary, identifying anatomy on images.
  • Perform quality control tests of equipment, reporting any irregularities and notifying Team Leader and maintenance personnel of equipment malfunctions.
Requirements
  • Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification(s) and License(s): Basic Life Support Certification, Certified MRI Technologist, Certified Radiology Technologist.
  • Skills: Ability to identify anatomy on images, perform quality control tests of equipment, and provide radiological support to physicians as requested.
