Job DescriptionAs a Creative Arts Director at our summer camp, you will play a key role in planning and implementing an engaging arts and crafts program for our campers. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and deliver a well-structured program that promotes creativity and encourages participation.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and organize arts and crafts activities that align with the camp's theme and goals.
- Order necessary supplies within the approved budget and obtain prior approval from the Camp Director.
- Schedule and instruct arts and crafts classes as deemed necessary by the Program Director.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the arts and crafts area, including equipment and supplies.
- Develop and enforce safety measures for the arts and crafts area.
- Conduct inventory of supplies at the beginning and end of the season and communicate needs for the next camp season.
- Assist with overnight activities when required.
- Participate in all aspects of camp, including pre-camp, open house, and post-camp events.
- Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to complete during designated training.
- Certified Sex Offender Registry and Criminal Background Checks.
- Prior camp experience or interest in Girl Scout Camping helpful.
As a seasonal employee, you will be paid according to the Fair Labor Standards Act exemption laws under Section 13(a)(3). You will not be eligible for company-sponsored group benefits, but you will have access to partnerships offering special deals and incentives at local businesses.
Estimated salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per year, based on location and experience.
