Overview
As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating advanced welding machinery and robotic systems to manufacture metal components according to precise specifications. Your expertise in welding will be essential in ensuring high-quality production outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually lift or utilize hoisting equipment to position workpieces securely in fixtures or automatic feeding systems.
- Calculate and adjust machine settings to control factors such as wire feed speed, amperage, polarity, gas type, and welding rod specifications.
- Engage welding machines, monitor operations, and inspect finished products for adherence to quality standards.
- Make necessary adjustments to machinery, unload completed assemblies, and prepare components for subsequent welding processes.
- Utilize hand tools or power equipment to remove imperfections, excess weld material, slag, or spatter.
- Weld components in various orientations, replace worn machine parts, and carry out finishing processes.
- Maintain accurate production counts, perform basic MIG and TIG welding, and ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols.
- Interpret job specifications, operate relevant equipment, evaluate finished products, and communicate any discrepancies to the Robotic Welding Manager.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment, maintain cleanliness in work areas, and adhere to safety regulations.
- Execute additional tasks as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred certification in FANUC Robotics or a welding-related degree/certificate.
- At least one year of welding experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Successful completion of internal welding assessments, familiarity with welding tools and equipment, and basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, communicate effectively, and demonstrate reliability.
