About the Role

Schwan's Company, a leading U.S. manufacturer and marketer of quality foods, is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Demand Planner to join our Shared Services Team in Bloomington, MN or Marshall, MN corporate offices. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing an operational forecast for up to an 18-month horizon, working closely with the Global Supply Chain and Business Unit Sales teams to execute sales plans and mitigate supply/demand gaps in the short term.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the monthly consensus process for assigned business units, providing a 18-month outlook.
  • Prepare and present analyses of forecast performance for specific business units and brands to management as needed.
  • Develop and produce demand forecasts, reviewing historical sales trends, marketing, and financial forecasts.
  • Categorize internal demand stream information according to demand patterns and input sales and marketing intelligence for each operating unit.
  • Collaborate with sales organization(s), national sales accounts, marketing, and related forecasting and planning groups.
  • Provide timely updates and analysis to Supply Chain partners to identify scenario planning opportunities.
  • Complete all required education and training, participating in the implementation and development of new forecasting software.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
  • 0-4 years of related experience.
  • Strong understanding of project management processes and supply chain principles.
  • Knowledge/skills in Windows, Excel, and Word.
  • Basic understanding of JDA/Blue Yonder, IRI/Nielsen, functionality, business processes, and related interfaces and data exchanges.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively.
  • Analytical skills with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and create budgets, requiring intermediate financial analysis skills.
