Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Aide to join our team at Animal Medical Hospital at Glenwood, Inc, an EverVet Partner. As a Veterinary Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with medical procedures, patient restraint, and radiology
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their needs are met
  • Conduct daily treatments, manage patient care, and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Restrain and handle animals of various species for examination and treatment
  • Prepare laboratory specimens, run in-house laboratory tests, and record results
  • Assist with anesthesia monitoring, surgery preparation, and post-operative care
  • Maintain inventory, order supplies, and perform other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Veterinary Assistant Certification preferred
  • At least one year of experience in animal care or a related field
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math and writing skills, with a basic understanding of diseases, medications, and anesthesia
