We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented housekeeper to join our team at Reach For The Stars Childcare & Preschool. As a housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize and maintain organizational systems for materials and supplies throughout the center.
• Perform cleaning tasks including laundry, dishes, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, as well as cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, offices, common areas, and restrooms.
• Ensure that frequently touched surfaces are disinfected, trash and recycling are removed, and supplies like paper towels, soap, and toilet paper are stocked in restrooms and other common areas.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for school events, meetings, and gatherings.
• Follow safety and health guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment, use appropriate cleaning products and equipment safely, and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with other members of the school staff, effectively communicate with teachers, and provide assistance in classrooms as needed.
• Assist with filing for staff and children.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Strong communication skills.
• Adherence to safety and health standards.
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 per year, depending on experience.
