Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Prolec-GE Waukesha. This is a second or third shift position that requires the ability to work independently and maintain a high level of productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assembly operations in various areas, including Core Stacking, Landing and Topping, Pre-Wire, and Final Assembly.
  • Set up and layout materials and tools for assembly operations.
  • Mix and apply epoxy and/or insulating compounds as specified.
  • Use hand and air tools, brazing equipment, crimpers, oil processing equipment, drill presses, punch, band saw, cranes, hydraulic jacks, scales, micrometer, square, etc.
  • Maintain required clearances and dimensions for voltage classifications.
  • Provide assistance to the supervisor in on-the-job orientation and training of other employees.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a confined space and perform hot work tasks.
