Certified Conductor

Watco Corp is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Conductor to join our team. As a key member of our railway operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and controlling train movements, ensuring safe and efficient railcar switching operations.

• Coordinate and supervise train crews to ensure timely and safe railcar switching operations
• Read and interpret switching orders and instructions from management and customers
• Communicate effectively with train dispatchers and other team members via radio and other communication channels
• Monitor and maintain records of railcar movements, including origin, destination, and cargo
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to railcars and equipment as needed

• High school education or equivalent
• 3-6 months of job-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and communicate effectively
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving multiple variables
