About the Role

Spring Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Intervention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality behavioral services to children and adolescents with cognitive, developmental, or intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior intervention plans as designed by supervising Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to address specific client goals, including reducing problematic behaviors and teaching new skills.
  • Accurately record data on client behaviors and progress, ensuring that BCBAs can effectively monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Through structured and naturalistic teaching methods, assist clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills.
  • Provide compassionate and consistent support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
  • Collaborate with families to teach strategies and interventions that can be used outside of therapy sessions to support client progress.
  • Communicate openly and regularly with BCBAs, other team members, and families regarding client progress, challenges, and any changes in behavior.
Requirements
  • Must hold an active and valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BCBA).
  • Previous experience working with children and adolescents in a behavior intervention setting is required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. College coursework in psychology, education, or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as a part of a team, and a genuine passion for working with children and adolescents.
  • Reliable transportation is required, as the position involves traveling to clients' homes.
