As a Patient Attendant at Ascension, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and their families. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient experiences and working collaboratively with healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities- Perform basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Remain at the bedside of assigned patients at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member
- Assist in calming and/or reorienting patients in cases of agitation or confusion
- Remove visible hazards and/or broken equipment from the immediate environment and report as appropriate
- Record all observations and report any changes in patient condition to the RN
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
