Centene Pharmacy Services is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Director to lead our Medical Management/Health Services team. As a clinical professional, you will play a critical role in improving pharmacy quality measures and driving strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation for our business units.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the operation of initiatives and programs focused on improvement in pharmacy quality measures, including Part D Patient Safety Measures, HEDIS, PQA, and drug utilization review.
- Drive the strategic planning, implementation, financial oversight, and evaluation for these business units.
- Provide daily oversight of all operations by working closely with external vendors, manager(s), clinical pharmacist(s), and other support staff.
- Build a strong team and drive team performance.
- Develop, plan, and implement all clinical initiatives through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Function as a project manager in the execution of launch plans and implementation of systems and procedures.
- Develop and oversee communication and contracts with preferred vendor representatives to execute contract provisions for effective clinical programs aimed at improving quality and drug utilization.
- Develop financial and operational metrics to track business performance and identify operational improvement opportunities.
- Ensure pharmacy department meets all regulatory compliance requirements relating to functions performed across multiple business units.
- Conduct market research and propose business growth initiatives through strategic planning.
- Manage and develop direct reports, setting direction, allocating, and re-allocating resources as required.
- Oversee improvement in Part D Safety Measures Star scores, HEDIS, and others as assigned, giving great attention to and ensuring achievement in these measurements.
- 7+ years of experience in a licensed pharmacist role, or completion of PGY-1 residency program + 5 additional years licensed pharmacist upon completion.
- 4+ years of experience in Managed Care/Pharmacy Star Ratings/Quality Metrics.
- 3 years managing/leading others.
- A license in one of the following is required: Registered Pharmacist (RPh).
- Competitive pay: $142,300.00 - $263,500.00 per year.
