About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems and components for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply engineering physics, mathematics, and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture, or maintenance of mechanical systems.
  • Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Work independently with some guidance, and review or guide activities of more junior employees.
  • Support the integration of high-power microwave (HPM) or pulsed power systems into land, air, or shipboard applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement mechanical designs and concepts in CAD with SolidWorks.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience with fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical components and systems.
  • 8+ years of experience with the design, development, implementation, and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery in the development of systems, subsystems, and component-level technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience with mechanical designs and concepts in CAD with SolidWorks.
  • 5+ years of experience with Bill of Materials (BOMs), and Technical Data Packages.
  • Experience supporting DoD programs.
  • Ability to provide modification recommendations and troubleshooting for RF, EMI, and high voltage technical issues.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with RF systems and technologies.
  • Experience with Directed Energy weapons and technologies.
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
