Structural Design Engineer

AESC US LLC is seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a critical role in the design and construction of various projects, including industrial, manufacturing, and office facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multidiscipline project teams, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping/Plumbing professionals, to coordinate structural design.
- Conduct thorough structural analysis and design of concrete and steel structures, including the creation of justifying structural calculations.
- Exercise engineering judgment to make technical assumptions, think independently, and draw conclusions.
- Develop and mentor less experienced engineering staff to ensure knowledge transfer and growth.
- Present design reviews to stakeholders and multi-discipline teams, effectively communicating technical information.
- Conduct field work independently or with the design team, ensuring accurate data collection and documentation.
- Manage structural projects from estimating through construction, ensuring timely completion and quality control.
- Stay up-to-date with US building codes and structural design standards, applying this knowledge to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Provide planning estimates with limited scoping information, utilizing expertise to make informed decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design of commercial, industrial, or oil & gas industries.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in California and an active NCEES record, with the ability to acquire a PE license from other states.
- Familiarity with Revit and experience with Navisworks.
- Ability to work overtime to meet deadlines, with a willingness to adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and timelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
