Job Description

Job Summary:

Caron Treatment Centers is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Clinical Pastoral Education Intern to join our team. As a Clinical Pastoral Education Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with patients who are struggling with alcohol, substance use, and behavioral addictions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide spiritual care and support to patients in a clinical setting
  • Participate in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training and supervision
  • Develop and implement individualized spiritual care plans for patients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance spiritual care skills

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related field (preferably Seminary or other Spiritual learning path)
  • Ministry/Spiritual leadership experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality spiritual care

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of continued sobriety or abstinence
  • Experience working with patients with addiction
  • Knowledge of Clinical Pastoral Education principles and practices

Clearances and Requirements:

  • Pennsylvania Clearances
  • Urinary Drug Screen
  • TB Test

Internship Programming Fee:

Unit costs differ depending on placement location. Hours for the part-time Fall and Spring programs are flexible, with 18.75 hours of clinical work and 6.25 classroom hours.
