About the Opportunity

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Medical Care Coordinator to join our team at Lutheran Social Services of New York - Safe Haven. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care and coordination services to young persons in immigration custody.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate medical care and screenings for children in our program
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure student safety
  • Collaborate with external providers to ensure timely specialist follow-up
  • Document all health visits and consultations in accordance with funder requirements
  • Provide health education assistance and training as needed

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in New York State
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a school nurse or similar experience in a medical setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work with outside prescribing doctors and shelter/foster care staff
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Salary & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $35.00-$40.00 per hour, plus a range of benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
