About 160 Driving Academy: We are looking for safety-oriented and personable individuals to join our team of exceptional Class A CDL Truck Driving Instructors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct classroom, yard, and road training for CDL Class A.
  • Evaluate student performance through checklists and observations, documenting their progress.
  • Monitor and support student development, addressing any learning gaps.
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance and evaluations.
  • Promote safety principles and practices throughout training.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid CDL Class A license with at least 36 months of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience; a Driver Training Instructor License is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Clean driving record with no more than two offenses or accidents in the past two years and no DUI in the last ten years.
  • Physical capability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Exhibit patience and leadership qualities with students.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and make a positive impact on students' lives.
  • Availability to teach classes Monday through Friday.
  • Minimum age requirement of 25 years.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Basic computer skills and internet navigation proficiency are necessary.
  • A strong work ethic, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills are crucial.
  • Previous educational experience is a significant advantage.
