At GIS, we are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Department Manager to oversee projects within our Industrial Engineering division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of electrical and instrumentation engineering projects.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong background in electrical engineering, project management, and personnel supervision. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing teams, coordinating resources, and driving projects forward to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with lead engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and timelines.
  • Assign task forces to project teams, ensuring optimal resource allocation and skill set utilization.
  • Recruit, train, and develop electrical and instrumentation engineering personnel to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain quality standards, monitor progress, and provide guidance to team members as needed.
  • Demonstrate customer focus in all actions, promoting excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Establish and maintain work instructions, procedures, specifications, and technical guidelines for the electrical and instrumentation section.
  • Review and approve time sheets, expense reports, vacation schedules, and performance appraisals for electrical and instrumentation personnel.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • At least 20 years of total experience, including 15+ years in oil and gas or chemical plant EPC experience and 5+ years in department management.
  • Leadership traits and abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
