Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer will design building electrical systems, including power, lighting, fire alarm, and special systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on projects in our healthcare sector, developing electrical systems designs based on scope of work and/or client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop electrical systems designs for projects based on scope of work and/or client requirements.
  • Provide engineering planning, design, and construction administration for all electrical systems, including power, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
  • Conduct existing building surveys and documentations of existing electrical and fire alarm systems.
  • Write/edit project specifications.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years design experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • LEED certification/experience.
  • PE/EIT is preferred.
  • Experience with projects in healthcare, science and technology, education, and commercial buildings.
  • Knowledge of electrical calculations, including lighting photometric calcs, voltage drop, and overcurrent protection coordination.
Skills/Abilities
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines.
  • Excellent work ethic and attitude.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
